Fresh & Funky South African Brand
I recently got to be apart of this awesome new proudly South African brand, Wylder Jane, which has recently gone International too. So I thought I would share it. They produce a beautiful variety of different handbags, backpacks & purses. One of my favorite purses from the collection, holds an iphone or blackberry very neatly, (check the second pic). Check out the Wylder Jane site, spoil yourself with a few goodies & show your support to this funky South African brand . You can purchase them online or at their up and coming store.

Ray-Ban Rocks the Par-tay
So I recently had the privileged of hanging out with some rad peeps from Ray-Ban at Taco Zulu. I got to know a lot more about this legendary brand that I'm so stoked to be a part of. What I love about Ray-Ban, as a brand, is that they are made for Real people. And I, personally, don't do well with fakes. For instance, Ray-Ban would rather be connected to more down to earth peeps like Lenny Kravitz than Paris Hilton for instance. It's more than just a brand. Its associated with a life style. Ray-Ban never pay people to wear thier shades, rather they encourage those who love the brand to love on the brand, if you know what I mean ;)
They run a really rad campaign called 'Never Hide' , which just emphasizes who they are and encourages people to be themselves. I would encourage everybody to invest in a pair. They will change your LIFEEE! THey definitely rock the party that rocks the party. I have a pair of Wayfarers with kick-ass polarized lenses which are super cool for enhancing colours and great if you spend alot of time at the ocean, like myself. Next up im definitely keen to rock some old school Ray-Ban Aviators!!!! whoopaaa!
visit their site to check out their virtual mirror to see what pair you'd love to rock!....

Creativity in a Cube
Creativity is in everyone. Some just reveal it better than others. I love to cook and be inventive in the kitchen. Inventive is the keyword as I cannot cook -by the book. Noway! Sticking to the rules aint my thing. How can you stick to a recipe that works for someone else's taste buds and not your own. And besides, its a pain having to buy the exact ingredients, and its boring. Sometimes you gotta work with what ya mama gave ya' :) I was a vegetarian/vegan for 8 years, which definitely forced me to get creative with fruit and vegetables. If you going to cook, dont be afraid to get a lil crazy up in here.

A fabulous fix
Winter has struck! It's hard to wake up before the sun even opens his eyes, yet the smell of freshly brewed coffee never makes me hesitate!! I like it. I l-o-v-e, LOVE it. I love it any time of day, but especially in the mornings, or after a freezing surf in jbay or cape town. Some people don't seem to be effected by caffine, but I, on the other hand, love the 'quick pick me up' that good quality coffee gives me. It makes life just that much more enjoyable. I feel my creativity doubles after a cuppa'!! I love coffee dates with friends. And drinking coffee in the rain. Well not literally in the rain, but ya know how we do! Coffee for me, coffee for you, Coffee for Africa. (Just because we have the best rusks - OUMA -hells yeah!!)

Owl Fascination
I think my fascination started when I was about 11 years old. Up until then my perception of owls had been created through story books, mostly involving something wicked. I was away on a school camp& we were all staying out in log cabins surrounded by bush and wildlife. We were up late telling 'scary' stories and one boy was talking about the evil spell of an owl. I walked out the cabin and there, on the floor was a white owl. I didn't even know there was such a thing. It didn't fly away, I sat and watched it, as it walked closer and tilted its head to the side, much like this one, as if to say 'im with stupid'. I found it quite amusing, and didn't find it to be in any way scary, I don't know how such a lovely creature got associated with evil. I suppose they are nocturnal, so they spend alot of time exploring darkness. But they themselves are not dark at all. They actually quite stupid birds too, so I have no Idea where 'Wise Owl' came from either. Its funny the way we form perceptions of certain things without having a clue about them. I love the fact that they can turn their heads 270 degrees, its quite ridiculous! And I love to imitate owls hooting - BTW : not all owls hoot:)

Otherwise, hows things?
Speaking of F.O the Conchords, there's this guy I work with (no names mentioned), who reminds me of Jamaine to the max! Lookswise - a little, but more his mannerisms, and the head bob that goes hand in hand with a good jam. He is quite a unique specimen, I feel like he belongs in a cartoon book. I dont even know if he is really human, he's more of a bad-baboon. I do know he's definitely not colored, he is 'malay' with a 'slight wave'. This soul-filled character's favorite music is ' good music', he lives and breathes a mixture of house, jazz, and even the odd gangster beat. His staple diet is Johnny's rottis (chip cheese and bean). This 'King of Copy', who can rock wayfarers like theres no tomorrow (or so he thinks), has a number of 'honey's after him, but I also think he's more talk than action, just like his work ethic. LOL! He's always up for a good laugh - or to be laughed at (taking him surfing when he is still learning to swim is quite something!). But in general - what a good 'o'.

Moroccan vibes
I have done quite a bit of travelling, but a place i cannot wait to visit and explore is Morocco.
In fact I think people should spend more time... exploring their own continents than others.
From what i know of it, im completely fascinated with. I love the intricate detail of Moroccan decor.
My dream home would have wooden floors, white walls outside with a blue Moroccan style door (similar to the rad drawing below i found on Joanna Hills website), french shutters, a white tin roof so I can hear the rain, and filled with Moroccan furniture and lamps :) And of course a hammock on the porch (in south african terms) a veranda!

I can feel winter sitting on my door step
So, winter is creeping in way too fast. I really appreciated Durban this weekend while surfing in warm water even though the air had a nip! There's nothing quite like that feeling of a cool breeze with the warm sun on your back! It always makes me feel like im in jbay (one of my favorite places on earth).
